Digg.com Sells for $5,000

by josh on July 14, 2012

no.. not really $5,000, but practically (the total paid by buyers ended up around $16 million). Digg was picked to parts and sold off that way. LinkedIn bought most of what was for sale.

I remember the good ol’ days when Digg was worth $200 million. That was just a few years ago.

SMDH – I should’ve picked it up at this price. Even MySpace sold for a higher percent of their peak value than Digg did. Digg’s patent for “click a button to vote up a story” is pretty appetizing.

Advise of the day: Sell while you’re hot.
